Got out there early today at Enid saw the first tube being pulled when I was headed in. On the gnats I tried the thermacel and that hasn't worked.

Only thing that will work with them Gnats is a head net.

Vanilla extract mixed with water will keep them off. Have to reapply often though. Was only lasting around an hour last time I used it.

Caught 3 and had 4 throw backs. 3 keepers were females and had eggs they were grey and rotten looking.

I'm not sure what my old lady would do if I came back to the house smelling like vanilla and fish, but looking like I had been fishing all day.

Use Avons Skin So Soft. ..original flavor,,,, works great on all sorts of insects and smells pretty good too..

That's what we used to use on our horses. Makes their hair shine also. Great stuff. We mixed it with a little baby oil to make it stick better and make the horses glow. We used it on ourselves without the baby oil. Really good for sensitive skin.
