What was your chart speed, Ricky? Surprised bottom wasn't just flat lined unless boat was swinging.

I DO MY BEST PROOFREADING RIGHT AFTER I HIT THE "SUBMIT" BUTON
Actually, for sitting still the images are excellent , my opinion
Congrats on you new sonar. I have an 899 and had it on kayaks. While my images were nowhere near as clear as those they were pretty darn good IMHO for sitting still. Helped me put more fish in the boat.

Rickie, u said u were catfish fishing.Of all of the views u posted, witch view would be the best one to use, and why , while vertical fishing for catfish, on ky.lake ledges???? Or do u think all views would be needed???
While anchored or moving ...:
*With the Onix and the dedicated DI piezo ...this view shows the catfish on the bottom very well...
*With the 1197 core unit I use the split 83kHz and 200kHz with fish ID on ...
If I'm moving I will use SI to try and locate pods of bottom echoes (most likely catfish) ...

looks great Rickie! I have motor problems with my boat and cant use my onix.
Those images are great! I had di running while anchored above a closing dam in an off current chute on the Mississippi over the weekend - had a few bait balls pass under and a few random fish. You'd be surprised how far up the water column a catfish will come to feed...
