Default Let's get ready to rummble on Friday Night!

Looks like we can get a good crowd up for a Friday nightstalk on May 15th. Let's set it up for 7:30 at Ebenezer landing. I hope all of or local guys can make it! All CDC member are welcome to come out and join in. The NC guys are invited to tag along since that's all they ever do. LOL Plus if they can attend we'll discuss maybe our next CLASH! Fish are still shallow and few are in deep water recovering from the spawn. See you there!

It is just a get together for fishing and fun, bragging rights and maybe a pot of some kind for big fish. Check SC board for some more info.
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners

Billy, we don't put money up for a pot. It's just for fun and bragging rights. How ever sometimes ofishlbizzness will have prizes for big fish or total weight. We all have fished around each other over a period of time and it's not worth having bickering over money. You can do a side wager if you can get someone to go along but most of the times it's all in poking fun at each other. Come on out and join us and have some fun.

http://www.crappie.com/crappie/attac...516_011138-jpg The following is from Offishabissness
First let me Thank all the one's who came out last night. Could not have been better weather wise. For the most part the fish co-operated for every one I think. Some very nice fish brought in. A little info here. There were 4 boats fishing the area I was in. Most everyone was in 25 to 35 fow. Water temp was 74 where we were.Water has slight stain in some creeks. Most were using minnows tightlined from 6 foot down to bottom. No set pattern on depth. Bait was so thick around our lights you could almost walk on them. A couple guys used jigs only and caught nice fish. I even tried a jig and caught some on em. Again the perch menace was up and running heavy. Caught 40 to 50 on my boat .Had 24 crappie caught with 17 keepers also. Some boats were way up on there count. All in all a great night. Now the good stuff. Again some guy called OT showed us how it is supposed to be done. His 5 fish total was 8 lb. 3 oz. Also big fish at 2 lb 3 oz. Congratulations to his crew. The rest of the 5 fish totals are: Dave with 5.12 lb...Team Griff at 5.9 lb...Hunter at 4.13 lb...Cuttbait at 4.11 lb. spotrunnin at 4.8 lb..And bringing in a 3.15 total was Team Benny. One crew left before weigh in cause they had early work today. Not sure how they did. Thanks to cuttbait and his partner for the prize donations. They got some red hot jigs if ya need some. Thanks to Biggdawgg for gettin em started cause I was a little late on gettin to the ramp. ScooperDude was the photographer for us.Thanks Grady. Not sure if anyone else had any pics or not. My crew had a couple of pics. Maybe they will get posted today.A first timer for crappie fishing was Griffin. He was on my crew. He caught the big fish on our boat. And as the story always is ....Let a biggun get off at the boat. But he was a happy kid after all the dust settled.. Thanks for hangin with us old folks Griff. Again Thanks to every one that came out. Those from the NC side of the line Thanks. Lookin forward to seein ya again soon. All I can say is When we gonna do it again ?

Thanks for the writeup ScooperDude. I'm a NC guy and look at NC articles to see updates on my home Lake's Tillery and Badin, but live close to SC and frequent the happenings there too. I was following the "Let's ge ready to Rumble Friday Night" article. I just joined this year and have not made it out to a gathering yet but hope to soon. Looks like you guy's had a good time.
