Looking for somewhere to go to put a few good bream in the boat not too far from BR (couple hrs max). I usually fish Old River (Morganza) but I think the small rise coming this weekend will mess up the fishing (correct me if I'm wrong). Any suggestions?

3 would be a little young. I would suggest floating a cork off a dock. I have a stocked pond that would be perfect for that, but live near Eunice
He did real good in my dad's boat. I wouldn't take him in a small bateau or something like that but an 18' boat with high sides was comfortable for me to let him walk around between the decks. He's closer to 4. I put a cork on the line of his Spider-Man rod/reel and he had a blast. He's not ready for a hook yet. I was "fishing" when I was his age so I felt he was ready. He did great and will be going again soon.
My Grandaughter caught this out of my pond. So many Bream you catch one every few seconds. Started all the grand kids in that pond. They get bored so easy it's perfect when there young
