Florida Fishing Report Goat Island, Hontoon Dead River
Well it sure been a long spell. Spent the last 3 weekends painting house
Made it out to the river this morning, headed to Hontoon Dead river and they been spraying weeds heavily in there and it stunk. Back out and around to Goat island. Saw this really cool Heron, assuming a young Blue, but it was white and graysorry for crappy phone pics but all I had. Ended up catching a pile of shellcrackers, gills and warmouth. Kept 11 fer supper tomorrow. All caught on panfish magnets in less than 3' of water.
when I pulled out the ramp Tow Boat US was there doing complimentary safety inspections, got mine done and a sticker on boat. Hope yall all have a great weekend.

Good job and nice looking dinner. If the heron was smaller than what you normally see and close to but not quite the colors you normally see it may have been a green heron. They're close but not quite the same, used to see em all the time.

Not a green heron or Louisiana heron. He was white and grey. You can barely pick him out in the pics but he is behind the cypress knees.

Well I got my front porch tiled today. Now moving on to the back yard to try and make it more pleasant to look at. Hoping I can get everything we got planned done by fall.
