If/when you start night fishing I'd recommend you stay away from bridges. Alot of guys fish bridges and alot of fish gets caught but as fast as decent sized fish move in they get caught only leaving alot of dinks to get caught. Instead, I'd idle around in likely looking coves around channel ledges or steep banks looking for bottom in the 20'-30' range and hopefull in areas holding bait or fish nearby. The lights draw the bait which will draw the fish if youre patient. And I might as well warn ya....not all places will catch you fish as good or as quickly as others. You'll learn as you go...so to speak. Just move to different places on different trips and sooner or later youll learn your lake and get to picking better spots with some practice. Good luck out there...and be safe.

BTW, if your brushpiles are producing fish during the day you might want to set up 10' away and let your lights work for ya. I always preferred fishing over a clear bottom so there wasnt any hanging up. But that's just me.....

You could tag along with that crew of miscreants at Lake Wylie for a fun and educational evening. They let me in, so they not too picky.
