    I'm north of Bee by about an hour. I don't know anyone else who fishes for "black sunfish" or just "sunfish" in these parts. The great thing about crappie up here is that they are in the same waters as smallmouth and largemouth bass. I get ten crappie, then I pull in a 16" smallmouth - it doesn't get much better. The Penobscot River north of Bangor may have crappie in it. If so, they are in some of the state's prime smallmouth water and will get thrown on the shore for raccoons before someone will let them go.
