Default Went to Bass Pro tonight shopping for #8 gold hooks and a LED live well light.

Kind of upset purchased the boat in 2008 new from Walts Boats and Motors at Nixa. I told them to put a air system to aerate both the front and rear live wells plus put me in a live well light in both the front and rear. Well they tell me that they couldn't run the air system or the live well light in the rear live well because of the gas tank! Now I know why they are out of business. I removed 5 screws and a plate and bingo I was able to reach over the gas tank and install the air system in the rear live well. And I got a LED live well light that will be easy to install in the rear tank after I remove the 5 screws and move the plate protecting the gas tank.

And since my favorite fishing tackle store, hint hint hint Jigging15 doesn't carry Eagle Claw #8 gold hooks I was wondering around trying to find them in Bass Pro this evening. Some how I lost Paula!

So next thing I know is Paula has the Bass Pro Sale Flyer and she is looking at Fish Finders and she is talking to this guy. Well first off she knows I had looked at a Humming Bird Hexi 5, because I wanted down scan and I really wanted side scan too. Well she is looking at a 5 inch size Lowrance because Paula knows I really wanted a Lowrance because I have had good luck with our Eagle Fish Mark 500C units which is a off breed of Lowrance. Well I came up and she said did you see the rebates on these things? I said yep, I saw the ad. I said but I want GPS! Next thing I know is she has her check book out and she is telling this guy behind the counter that she wanted a Lowrance HDS-7 Gen2 Touch Fishfinder/GPS Chartplotter with Insight USA and LSS-2 Transducer plus she wanted a map card too!

So I have the best wife in the world, I even decided to take her out for Mexican Food tonight! God I hope I have enough Rolaids to get me thru the night.

She did tell me that I would have to pay for the install!

Ok you Missouri guys this guy needs some help here I have no idea what this unit will do! It took me almost a year to finally figure out a smart phone! I don't have problems with computers!

Oh and I would like to throw out a special thanks to Hookin'&Cookin' for showing Paula all that their fish finder could do!!!

congratt Dan that is one nice sonar !lots of YouTube stuff to watch ,it well help a lot . Did you ask the folks at bass pro to up date it to the latest software? Probably needs it.
Best thing to do is take some time and go out and just us the sonar ,don't even think about fishing ,just get used to the touch screen, get it set up, learn to navigate through the screens, you wont believe what you'll see !
And you owe Paula BIG TIME !!

A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it
From an old movie I saw

I didn't ask about updates, I have an appointment on Saturday morning to have it installed by Springfield Marine Repair and they are Lowrance dealers. When they install something they do it right. But I will ask them about the updates, plus I will be calling Lowrance and be talking with them today!

Yeah I looked a little last night at the Lowrance videos and they just about blew my mind. I am thinking about also upgrading to make the unit wireless so I can tap into my tablet and also my smart phone. Don't know anything about that or if it is even worth the money for doing with my small boat.

I took Paula out for Mexican that should be enough? LOL!

Go to the electronics forum and the side/down imaging sub-forum. Start reading and asking questions....you can learn a lot from the guys/gals that have these units.

Oh no Mexican food!!! I was in really bad shape last night! So bad that even my Yorkie didn't want to sit on my lap!! And I needed the live well light so I could show the nice game wardens that I don't ever catch any fish when Paula is with me!! She gets them all!
