Well Prefers Shiners and I got out for a few hours this morning. Neither one of us knew much about the area, think we were in the area sacalaitDA told me about a while back. We managed to catch about 12 or so, mixed bag. Kept 2 sac's and one goggle. On jigs, the usual blue/white, black/chart. Could hardly believe Bruce said no shiners. lol. I even had the bait bucket ready!! Anyway, no pix. Found a guy who had 2 small bass and gave him our 3. Good times, and we even told a few true stories, between the lies. HaHa.

Like yall I aint been there in years I remember back in the day Jack millers was a happening place with a rocking bar and weekend boat races. I worked on a boat that brought crude oil to the tank battery on grand river . it was nice there and I caught lots of fish around there. Way back in the 70's I was a tankerman on a boat that worked there the Captain raised shiners in the front void of the boat.It was a great place to go camping too a high point with some big trees and st Augustine grass growing under it. I used to love fishing Grand, the superior canal and the flats. Thanks for the reminder I should go check the place out. Is the marina still open and do they sell shiners or will I have to down grade to jigs or import minnows from a good bait stand

Cappy, we did not go in the store.(not a bar anymore) So I don't know if they sell bait. Public launching, but not the easiest. Real tight.
