Put in shortly after 6 this morning to catch a few. Found some crappie out I n front of the boat slips at the marina early in 7 fow . Moved from there to the boat houses, found one boat house abandoned and not being used. It hadn't been used in a good while by the looks of it. The birds and raccoons have taken up residence. The boat house was in 7 fow with shallow water nearby. The crappie were way in the back and they wanted it right on their nose before they would bite. Started catching fish on a Bobby Garland Baby Shad in Monkey Milk and switched to a Bobby Garland Slab Dockter in the same color. All total I caught 20 crappie most just over 9" s with some good ones mixed in. Had 3 large BlueGill engulfed the Slab Dockter. That's a small mouth for such a large bait. Water was 83 degrees by 9 am. I am glad to see the fish getting back on a pattern I can recognize.

Way to go Jack! That sounds like an awesome morning out, congrats.
Awesome great report fixing to try me some of that soon.
That looks awesome ! I've been to g ville three times and my partner wants to catch those ugly green carp. Give me a hollar Jack. I'll go with you anytime. I caught three crappie on a spinnerbaits at Browns creek Saturday. In the same place. He still wouldn't crappie fish.
Thanks. I was having so much fun I forgot the sun screen. Ditch shooting from a kayak should be awesome on tough docks that have just a little clearance from the water I have to get off the casting deck and into the bottom of the boat to get a good angle. Should have a great angle in a kayak.
