    Default Post-Spawn Smack Down

Got to spend the day on the water with my buddy Jiggermaxx. We launched the boat just after sunup, and before we had all of our poles out the fun began! First fish of the day was a two and a half pound HOG! We started out in 4 1\2 fow, but the fish seemed to be on the move as the day got warmer, and we ended up in 7 1\2ft at the end of the day. It was an average bite overall, but there were several times throughout the day that we had four or five fish on at once! The bigger fish would hit real hard and you had to be quick with the hookset, then the net, or you didn't have a chance. A couple of times, I would have the net in my lap, trying to get a fish off the line, and Bobby would yell, "BIG FISH! GET THE NET!!" So I'd dump the fish in the floor and scoop up the next one. This spiderrigging business may be too much work for this ole single-poler, but it sure can be fun! Bait of choice was BIG jigs tipped with BIG minnerz! Chartreuse early, Black and chartreuse later in the day.

Thanks Bobby for sharing another eventful day on the water with me, and thanks for the lesson in rabbit dog communication! I'm sure everybody within a two mile area was loading up their shotguns!

Pros do what pros do. Great catch.

Just curious........does anyone not ever line these things up with one oddball in the middle, facing backwards, just to elicit strange questions?

Sure seems like a lot of work to lay 'em out like that......and I bet it pisses 'em off, too!

Nah, I got bit a couple years ago. Started to get pretty ugly, (outrageous bait costs, nasty tangles, broke poles) took a little jigabiotics and it cleared right up!
Seriously though, I don't think it will ever replace my jig poles!
