Fished both Thursday and Friday, Thursday was spent jigging brush and grass for crappie. The bite was slow, and the overall quality of the fish was down from week prior. I did beat out a limit catch of keepers out of 40 total fish caught. On Friday the winds were howling, I chose to fish a different area of the lake and decided I would target shallow water for crappie, but mainly searching for shellcracker beds. I caught a few crappie, before finding 3 areas holding shellcrackers. I ended the day with 5 crappie, and limit of nice shellcrackers. All fish caught using Rooty Tooty 309's. Fish were holding in 2.5 to 3 foot of water near grass lines.

If y'all had been there, you would not believe how tough the weather was to deal with. We gave up Friday because the wind was howling so bad. That is an impressive catch, Tim.

You are right about the winds Ray, the conditions were terrible. It was a struggle, but I was able to tough it out and get on a few fish.

The way work has been over the last few months, along without having a boat has definitely fueled the fishing fires within me. If I think I can catch a few, I won't let a little weather get in my way
