Default Weather who can you believe

After not going fishing for about two weeks because the weather man had given me bad info I decided to go to Tillery and do a little night fishing Thursday night. He was calling for a chance of rain but he had been wrong so many times before. Got to the lake around 6pm the weather was great. Started slow trolling minnows and was doing all right then the wind started, big wind and rain. Made the run back to the dock and waited in my truck for it the pass. It never passed but did die down some. Put on my rain suite and headed back out. The wind made it hard but still was able to but a limit together. Almost all fish came from 15 feet in 25/30 feet of water under the lights. No minnow action around the lights but still caught fish? Picked up some slow trolling in 7/8 feet of water. WT 66.

Remember the only time the weather man is really wrong is when he says 100 percent chance and it doesn't rain or vice versa..

I'm changed plans on botched weather reports so many times Now I always proceed with plan up until the very last minute, no more listening to weatherman :D

Yup. Same here. I use it like a general guideline. Now if it's calling for an all-day washout, then that would probably change my plans - wouldn't change any plans Teamhooksetter has, but it would probably change mine.

There's been so many times, though, where the weather forecast was calling for rain and whatever, but I go fishing anyway, and barely get a sprinkle.

Like everything - gotta use some common sense, I guess..
