Thread: Hey Vonna and everyone else that's gonna be at camp...

I have to apologize. I can't make it to camp this weekend. I so wanted to go but I guess it was just not in the cards for me to go.

The drive is 1000 exact round trip and I do not have a car I trust for that drive at this time. I was gonna take my car, but it was making poser steering noises (occasionally). The noise started on my trip back from AR and it really only happened a few times. I changed the Power Steering oil and the Reservoir too. There's an oil filter built into the reservoir and that why I changed it out. But by the time the part came in the mail, and I installed did that work, I only was able to test drive the car to listen for the sound a day or so. So at this point, I'm uncomfortable taking it on a thousand mile journey.

So no big deal, I'd just take wifeys car. I texted her yesterday morning and told her I was taking her car, and she replies that her car has a shake at 45mph! Dang it. She did not tell me cause I guess she thought I had enough to work on in "Ed's Garage". I just did the power steering stuff, and earlier in the week I replaced the drive shafts center bearing on my daughters car. There was tons of rattling coming from the drive shaft tunnel so that was an easy diagnosis, but a pain to install cause you have to drop the exhaust and obviously the drive shaft. So I've had a busy week, and end up with no car for a long road trip.

I did wait till last evening when wifey got home to drive her car to see how bad the shaking was at 45 before deciding not to go. And the result is, I'm not going.
