For what it's worth, yesterday in the afternoon we caught 23 in about an hour in 3' water. during the morning only a few we picked up in about 10'. So it's getting started. used wax worms and crickets on jigs.
Talked to some other fishermen they did good later in the day with catches in the 50s.

You guys had better catch what you can before Chaunc gets back down. Once he shows up, the gills and redears will be in dire straits.

Word of wisdom to perch jerkers. If you find a bed of gills/redears, stay back away from it as far as possible. The water is clear and there is not a spookier fish on any lake than a redear with a boat close to their bed. Anchor and make long casts. It will improve your catch greatly.

And they are ever spookier if someone in the boat is wearin a GoPro !!!

I don't know about that, a guy I know was wearing one of those and one came up and said " I'm ready for my close up now, Mr DeMille."
