I use the little football shaped rubber bobber stops from BPS......they are on a fine wire with a loop. Run your line through the loop and pull the bobber stop right on your line then throw the wire away.

What do you all use who do some slip bobbering. During the spawn in the evenings I will just hit the dam from time to time if I can't get the boat out. I have a kit with string to tie the knot but it doesn't stay tight enough long enough. Any one have any recommendations

I use the rubber ones and husband uses the string ones.
I use the rubber style. Sometimes they slide but not far off from the set depth. If you go down to 2lbs they slide all over the place. Doubling up helps a bit.
Try using a thin rubber band, just cut a short length and tie it around the line. Does not have the longest life span and might hang up in the eyes but the price is right.......
