I have not been fishing much lately and when I did go it has been terrible. I knew it would be tough yesterday after all the rain but I went anyways and was glad I did. I only got 11 crappie with most around 11" and all but one caught 7' deep, including the big one at 15" and 2lb's even.
Picture doesn't really do it justice but it hit a chartreuse wasshoppah tight lining in water around 12' deep set at 7'. This was my first citation in 14 months and first one from Burnt Mills in just over 4 years giving me 8 total there. This one was caught in the stump fields working a flat that stuck out quite a ways from shore. I only had one taker in the shallows. This gives me 27 citations since I got serious fishing for crappie in 2006. I have been happily spending time with my girlfriend so not sure when I will get out again. May have to drag her along with me. I showed surface water temp at 63-64.

So nice to see a real post from a known body of water. Citations are never easy and so sweat when you get one. congrats!!
I forgot to mention that the area I was fishing and caught the 15"er at was an area I spotted Carl Herring fishing a few years back. I figured that if he was fishing there it was worth checking out. Once again, it's a flat that runs parallel to shore. I was probably 100' from shore but in around 12' of water.
