    Default Santee Cooper 4/24/15

Fished creek channel in and around Taw Caw creek. All fish came from the 15 to 20 foot range 8 to 12 foot down around and in brush and underwater logs. Did check known spawning areas with only small fish in those areas. All good fish came from this range and fish are moving to a post spawn pattern. Fishing will get harder for myself and most as the fish continue their move. All 17 keeper fish with 4 over 2lbs caught on minnows and hair jigs tipped with minnows. Water temp 70 o 72 degress water color very stained. Happy fishing to all!!!!

Nice catch Bean, there will be plenty of good fish to be caught all summer long if ya know how to fish the grass, logs, and of coarse brush piles. Congrats on a fine looking mess of slab crappie!

Very nice catch there! It appears the larger fish spawn ended early up here in the upstate too. At least earlier than I wanted it to anyway...guess I need to get out on some brush piles. Thanks for the report
