Saw him on Lake Nimrod the other day and he had on his Southern Pro shirt and he showed me the walleye tube he was catching them on that day! Not everyone will show you what bait and give you info about the fish they are catching. Congrats on the recognition.

Congratulations. No doubt his info shared has put as many crappie in peoples boats as anyone in the country. No flash, no gimmics, nothing to prove, just a pole, a jig, and fish. Lots of fish. When I'm in his boat, even I become a pretty good jig fisherman. It amazes me.

I refuse to feed them minners . Poor people have poor ways. Besides Southern Pro jigs work and cost less to use. I might catch even more at times if I used minners but maybe I'm just hard headed . I fish for fun and if I catch fish with jigs it's even better. Just try asking a Green Carp fisherman to use Minners and he will look at you like your crazy.

Man. I've taken a TON of green carp on minnows. More than on any artificial bait, except for plastic worms. But, I don't do tournaments, or compete with others on what I catch. I just catch, clean, cook, and crap.

I have caught more this year on jigs, though. I'm trying hard to learn. But when I go, I'm going to try and catch fish, even if hey hit on purple willow leaves......... If I was as good with jigs as you guys, I'd never use a minnow either........I agree with that!

That's the very reason I put him on the pro staff. He isn't afraid to share what he knows with anyone!!! There's not a more deserving person of this honor than Nimrod. He has a true Passion for what he does, and he'll be a Great ambassador for Southern Pro Tackle!!!!!
