Default Do crappie like cedar trees for cover?

I was scouting the lake last night on google maps and found some coves with what appear to be cedar trees in the lake. Are these good areas to look for crappie?? Just trying to get a feel for where to look for new places. Thank you.

Looks like beaver lake. Crappie will hang out in the cedars.

I looked at your profile after I posted the above sentence. I'm pretty good.

Those look like they been there long enough to thin out. We like to dry them out then drag em or burn off needles before sinking to speed up the process.

I'll go out on a "limb", pun intended, and say you are fishing the wrong end of the lake. Those look like north end cedars up toward the dam. I'm probably wrong about this, but I've seen really similar before on the upper end.

In the words of Fred G. Sanford........"do a hog love slop?" Crappie love cedar trees, BUT you won't after you hang up and break off a few times EVERY time you try to pick a few fish off of them. I've got some ready to drop down here at White Oak Lake next time I go. GTT
