    Default Lake Maumelle 4/18

Got get out to the ole "dead sea" this past weekend between the rains. The males are still holding just inside the grass lines. Almost every cast further up into the grass resulted in a 8-10inch Kentucky attacking as soon as it hit the water. We ended up with 10 specs and 2 really nice redear in only about 2.5 hours of fishing (due to rain). 6 fow on the grass line, with a lake fork tenn shad jig on a chart. 1/16 midsouth head was what they wanted.

Also caught my first black nose crappie. Seen pics before but ive never actually hooked one.

He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Good job on that lake. It is close enough to my house that I do some trolling in the Summer evenings after work. Only way I have ever found any. DP
