A First at Jordan Today
Charles and I spent some time on the water today looking at new places to fish and trying out some new jigs. I got to the Ebenezer ramps a little early and had a chance to meet Ltmcleod (Troy in real life) with his Father and one other person. Troy has a Sea Pro and they were headed out fishing. Say "hi" to him if you see him out on the water.
The next thing that happened was a new one for me. Another guy comes and launches his boat right after Troy. It was obvious from his boat that he was a serious crappie fisherman. After he parked his truck and was walking to the water, I spoke to him and asked if he was on Crappie.com. He said no, and then said those guys have ethics just about as bad as bass fishermen. I was a bit taken-aback and told him he must have those of us on Crappie.com confused with someone else. Later in the day, we both ended up taking our boats out of the water at the same time and we had a good talk. The two of them both limited out and we spent some time talking about the day.
The reason I felt taken-aback from this guys comments are that I feel completely opposite. Honestly, of all the folks I have met personally from Crappie.com, I cannot say anything bad about anyone. We have developed a kind of brotherhood and friendship with each other. I think this guy has us confused with somebody else. I can definitely tell you that I am proud to be a member of the NC Crappie.com family.

It was nice to meet you Dennis. I can say from experience that this site (at least the NC board) is full of people willing to help new guys out. I joined last year and through everyone's help have learned a ton of information on fishing lake crappie.
My only guess would be what Big Crappie said.

I'm mostly new on here. purchased a new boat last year and my son loved it and wanted to catch some crappie. we hired Sinclair to teach us to catch them. we have caught our share of fish last year. still trying to learn places and methods. on Jordan and Harris . I will start posting on here and hope to make friends. look for the 218 dlv with a t top on the lakes wrapped up with rod holders . the old white head redneck on board is me. able to fish most days.
