    ifish; You did not tell the main reason for the ladders placement being where it is. I am thinking that would be because most boat ramps are fairly shallow and the back of the truck is out in the water by the time the boat and trailer is deep enough. So you are still able to get in and out of truck without getting your feet wet. Other than not having to climb and jump down from truck. Like I said earlier this was a very good idea that you have. Thanks for sharing.

    What we need is something attached to the trailer tongue with a step or two and a pole or something up about three or four feet that we can balance on. I found some on the web but they were $300-400.

    When I got old I may have to have something like that
