It's any body's guess. The lake level hasn't came up much, so it should be ok.

The Haw River arm of the lake can get muddy with decent amounts of run-off caused by rain, but the other areas of the lake rarely get muddy unless we have a hurricane or some large amount of rain. If you are going to stay at the Parker's creek campground, there should be lots of good water for you.

thanks...that's exactly where we will be, if you're out that way swing by and say hello...we'll be in a 16' basstracker, we are trying to make this an annual event but we didn't make it last year and we had motor problems the year before that so I basically know nothing about the lake except what you told me in our pm's a couple years ago.........we'll stay around the Parkers creek area and some down at the bridge, I don't want to waste time running all over the place

Put in at the Parker's Creek campground boat ramp and go left. Spend time exploring the flats and shallows--you should find some fish. I was told there were some nice crappie caught in this area last week.
