Best report I heard today was from a guy spider rigging. We've only caught 7 each day. Been slow but I've had a lot of nice guys trying to help. And I appreciate it. Makes me feel like I don't know how fish though when I can't make it happen.

I know that feeling all too well. I have $3,000 worth of sonar equipment, a new boat, gear, baits, live bait, and knowledge. Just not the knowledi I need. Lol!! It's VERY frustrating to k ow if tweaked a few things or went to a certain area, I'd have much better chances.

If you see a Red aluminum Ranger tomorrow. Wave me down. Lol! Between the two of us, maybe we can figure it out. I got your number. I'll text if I find something.

Hey I just wanted to give a follow up on our trip last weekend. We had a great time, loved the lake and the people of Farmerville were as nice as they could possibly be. I really want to thank so many of you guys that worked really hard at helping us find fish. I couldn't have asked for anything more than what many of you provided us regarding information on where and how to fish. My family hears me talking about crappie.com all the time but last weekend they got a chance to see first hand how great a group of sportsmen and women you guys are. They couldn't believe all the help that came from strangers, as they see it, but I call them friends, that came to our aid to help us find fish. Now we never did really tear them up, averaged about 7 a day, but what we did catch was because of all of your help. I'm the worst at thinking to take pictures while I'm fishing but I did take a few mostly while back at the house. So here are a few of them.Name: IMG_20150409_163545876[1].jpg

Edit: I found it...we have caught fish in the past where I have the circles. This weekend they could be in 1ft or still deep. There are plenty of shallow areas with Cypress trees and grass around those islands and if they are a little deeper the other circle may provide some fish. Good Luck!
I found this area to be extremely shallow and extremely stumpy. Just a word of caution to folks.

I had a good trip myself to D'Arbonne and plan on going back one day. It's much different than the lakes I'm used to fishing. I fish clear water highland impoundments and seeing the bottom of the lake from 3ft to 20ft depending on which end of the lake you fish can have it's advantages. Where as fishing in water that's the color of Community coffee on the west end and chocolate milk on the east end.....well it was a change of pace. And it is rich in vegetation where my lakes have "Zero" vegetation.

Snapped a few photos with my phone and thought I'd share.

Oh and I met "Juicy" while on the water. Nice to meet you Juicy. If you ever venture up towards NW Arkansas, I can share some info with you.

This was the deal for me. It was a tough bite but I managed to get a couple out of the cypress trees. I arrived too late in the morning and the local traffic by 11AM was getting thick. I had a guy fling a spinnerbait to a tree next to me within 10ft of where I was fishing. I've turned off my graphs and trying to be as stealthy as possible and then the D-Day of spinnerbaits began bombing the area I was in.

My rig sitting in about 1.5ft of water and cypress trees. LOVE those cypress trees.

Where I found all the fish. In the boat channels.
I found fish grouped up like this for hundreds of yards. Could not get them to bite. Caught one white bass (white perch) trolling a crankbait down to 14-15ft and it took me 200yds to get that bite.

    Bass beds on side scan.
And I find it odd that beds are in 10ft of water? With water so dark that 2ft visibility at best? I saw bass on the beds on the sonar. Then I switched to sidescan and you can see all the little divots in the lake bed. Lots of beds.

Hey man I think I recognize all of those places. Definitely the group of cypress and tupelos, we caught one in there, looked awesome though. I saw much the same on my graph marked a lot of fish then spider rigged over them. Caught some but I don't know that I wouldn't have done just as good where the fish appeared not to be. At least I saw other people catching some where I didn't think I saw any. It was good talking to you. Maybe we can get together and fish Beaver some time. Very nice boat by the way.

Just let me know when you're coming up Mac Daddy and I can get you some lake info.

And thanks for the boat compliment. I'm very happy with it. Rides close to a glass boat, goes super shallow, gets good fuel mileage, and gets me down the lake quick enough when needing to cover a lot of water quickly. I tried to get her stuck in the weeds in 1-2ft or less. Never did. Came close once but turned up the 80lb Fortex and it became a salad shooter. :-). No problem in shallow water.

D'Arbonne has a certain charm to it that I didn't expect. It's a great lake. I'd love to have a lake house there.

Still disappointed I didn't see a gator though. Hahaha!!
