Default Best trip I've ever been on...and I didn't even take a pole

Probably one of the proudest moments Ive had as a father was this weekend. I was able to put away the boat, graphs, multiple poles, and tackle boxes, and just take my 2(almost 3) year old fishing for his first time. Just me, him, his new zebco 202, and a tub of worms. Went to Conway and bank fished a little and went to the piers to catch him some bream. Teaching him when and how to real, and how to hold a fish was awesome. His first fish ever was a redear and he followed that with several bluegill. Once he realized it was a tugging match between him and the fish he really enjoyed it. I dont want to rush him growing up, but i cant wait to get him out and on some crappie.

He said, "Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some." When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

That's great. Man he looks happy.

My wife is 12 weeks along with our first. Honestly I wish I could fast forward about two and a half years right now, if not six months she's so sick. Hopefully that changes soon.

Good job, dad! Now that's what it's all about! Your son will never forget that day! Doubt you will either!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!

Thats great. Don't rush it seems like last year my son was that age, now he's 29. Try and enjoy every moment.
