The number one thing any fisherman can have in his "tacklebox" is persistence. You had it today and got some fillets for your efforts. Nice job!

It was a tuff day to find em today but did manage to get a mess to go with the other ones to make a good crappie supperGot on the water at sunrise and did not come off till 6 pm. Only had 1 crappie and a catfish for the wife at 3pm. I was just about ready to let them go and call it a day, then I spotted a cardinal bird, and my grandmother told me when I was little feller to make a wish when you saw one. I wished for a mess of crappie, and shortly there after I found 5 more slabs to go with my lonely crappie. Water temps were from 62-68, found all fish in shallows and in murky water, caught on jigs. I learned today not to give up, make a wish, and keep on
, it might just come true!!!!!
