    Default Nolin Lake

Never been on Nolin and looking to go. I'm not looking for cords just wondering where to start and what is working for
    the Nolin gang. thanks.

"We shut back to 0.1 today. The lake level as of 2:00 PM is 517.26'. The lake will continue to rise until downstream conditions allow us to discharge water. We should see several more feet of rise even without any additional rainfall". https://www.facebook.com/Nolin.River.Lake
Heard and saw picture of person catching a single limit in an hour casting plastics in Dog Creek last Wednesday. There has been a lot of rain upstream Nolin river the last two days, the river has farm bottoms flooded south of Etown, so the lake is really going to rise the net several days.

There is a good channel ledge on the north side of the small island opposing dog creek. Haven't fished there this year so I can't vouch for current conditions but I have caught and seen a lot fish come off that ledge. Good luck.

I was there from Saturday til Tuesday. Lake came up a couple of feet while we were there but ended up right at summer pool. Over that now. We caught several fish but in a lot of different ways and areas. Caught some on jigs up in 3 feet of water but most were still in 32 ft about 12-15 down. Minnows were better than jigs. If you put in at Moutardier there is a big cove on the opposite side of the campground from the boat ramp that is full of standing timber. That's always a good area. Also around Red Rock and Canoloway. I don't get up to the Dog Creek area much so don't know much about that end. Water temps were around 57 most of the time we were there. Got to 60 when the sun was out on Saturday afternoon. Hope that helps.
