CPD21 sums it up for Fishers and I too! I caught 3 of the seven keepers on Gdaddy Big Mo in black and pink. Fisher did best using BG slabslayer in Vegas color. We fished 6-8FOW and most of the fish came from 2-4' deep. We double dipped.

We were asked to post our fishing styles on a thread and since I havent seen one yet I decided to start one
Wareagle69 and I placed 3rd in the tourny with a total weight of 9.78 ...we were using Huckabee dipping rods on Timmy Tom jigheads with 3in Bobby Garland slabslayers pump/chart pink/black were the best colors....we were double dipping breaklines off the main channel in Gaines creek with decent fish coming from 7-9 ft of water.....we also fished any brushpiles or cover in that same depth of water.....the fish really didn't seem to be holding to wood but we did find one pile that we caught fish out of....the fish were mostly scattered in that depth of water and you had to cover water

Brian and I spider rigged using Timmy Tom weedless WSD bladed jig heads on bottom and regular Timmy Tom weedless jig heads on top. I used Mikes Custom Baits in black/pink, lime/char and pumpkin/char. Brian used slab slayers in the same colors. We caught our fish in 4-6 fow, with stumps or laydowns being a plus.

Thanks: cpd21, ledge, Odie, I appreciate you posting your technique for the Eufaula Tournament. Still Learning rdjj
Statement below from Arkansas Tournament Rules
Central Arkansas Crappie Association
Tournament Rule #9
Winners and Ties. Winning weights will be determined by the heaviest 7 fish of legal size. Legal size is strictly governed by the state and local lake laws and is the responsibility of the participant to adhere to these laws. Any deviation or law breaking of legal size fish will result in disqualification of that tournament. Hot Seat Provision – In order to avoid any ties, the first person to weigh in will be declared the leader in both total weight and big fish until unseated by a heavier weight. The leader in both categories will be required to remain in the general vicinity of the weigh station. Fish do not have to be alive to be weighed but is heavily encouraged. The first place, second place, and third place teams will be required to reveal how they fished, general area they fished, and any other info they can give to help everyone learn how to be a better crappie fisherman! This is suppose to fun and educational!
Good post by both Odie and Rdjj. Our technique for finishing in the middle of the pack was to double dip both natural rock and rip rap early. Early afternoon we went to the head waters of rock creek doodle socking brush. Afternoon we went to 9 foot breaks bouncing them off the bottom. If you want to be an also ran, tie a rope up to us. We're good at it!
lol...pappa thats what we did last years tourney....had found fish the day before on piles we had put out on the north end....went there first and NADA!!!!....we ran all over looking for fish...man that gets frustrating
Heck rdjj....we are all still learning...lol....i kinda like that rule #9 but most on here will tell ya the truth anyway...most not all....but i can say this....if you will ask EB, Odie, Ranger they will tell you what they know and you can take it to the bank.....pretty good people on this forum
Andy
cdp21 ........ I agree with you on EB, Odie, Ranger. Then point being when me and my partner fish a tournament and get our backside kicked. It is nice to know on "THAT" day where we when wrong, how, and general area that the guys that finished in the top positions found the fish and what technique and colors they used. As you know where you pre-fished in the spring is probably not going to be where they are the next day because condition overnight are totally different. The great crappie fisherman always seems to find them.

I understand that....but as far as with me just ask...trouble is I might have gotten blanked that day...lol ...I just figured everyone was worn out after the tournament and ready to get home....I know what you mean because I remember the crappiethons and others like that where everything was "top secret" but with the CDC tournaments everyone seems to share info pretty good....thats what i like about them
