    Default I'm curious

This is my first spring on c.c. I have noticed a decline in fishing reports and info. Is this typically what happens during this season? I realize all of this info is public to members and non-members. I am not pointing fingers, as I have not been sharing my reports from the past couple of weeks. I fished twice last week, and pretty much figured out a pattern that will probably be totally different this week. I also had to get in line to launch and load both days, so really very few secrets as to what was happening in the area where I was. I prefer to keep a lower profile and not notify the world of my success or lack there of. However, I noticed during the winter we were all a bit more forthcoming. I am just curious if this is a normal trend.

I usually share my success storys with my closest friends via text or call, I fish the foot mostly when I'm not hitting the river sloughs and I often share what part of the lake I was fishing whether it be upper or lower basin and usually tell how deep I was catching. May not give exact location but just general area, trolling on the foot is hit or miss anyway I've caught fish in a certain spot and go back next day and not get a bite, move over fifty yards and start catching again...

ET Fish, it may be because anyone can catch spawning crappie on just about any lake with a float and fly 8"-36" off a point on Douglas or Cherokee and on blowdowns on Ft Loudoun, Tellico, Watts Bar, Chic? When its easy nobody needs help. Heck I had one jump in the boat Saturday when I accidentally hung a minnow off the side of the boat!!!!!!!! And then again maybe people are fishing more and surfing less?

rcp, good points! I haven't been in almost a week, but they weren't jumpin' in my boat last week!!! You are probably right on both counts. I was just wondering if people were keeping their areas or even lakes a bit more private. I certainly can see why, as the ramps have been packed on Tellico. This is my first spring crappie fishing, and I have heard all of the great stories, but just now beginning to experience it for myself. In other words, I am consumed, and when I can't fish, I'm reading about it!!!

    I feel you on that.

I have one other reason myself for not posting is I only get my crappie.com fix via the phone an the update for tap talk makes it difficult to do so.
