    Default Big Sandy Report

Planning on going but not for sure what area I want to fish. How's the bite been? Jigs or minnows? Hopefully somebody has fished it. I have not heard any reports since last week.

I thought about trying the Springville area or swamp creek. Can't make up my mind

Me, my dad, and a couple buddies caught our limits today long lining some hot grubs. Favorite color seemed to be something with a little pink and purple in it. We did most of our catching in big sandy out in front of where you turn into west sandy. Mainly catching them in 7-8 ft of water. We started about 6:30 and finished around 3:30.

I found a pretty good school in 16-18 fow on Monday holding on the side of the creek.. kept 50 had 20-25 throwbacks.. biggest weighing 2.4... seen lots of boats down on the south end past the mouth of west sandy im guessing there starting to migrate to the shallower water.. but don't count out the deep water just yet!!!

We fished Sunday in all that wind. Caught ours in the 8 - 9 foot range in Big Sandy. They were liking pink combos. We tried Swamp for a while, but very little action.

Yes, I fish like a girl. If you tried a little harder, you could too!!

Water too rough for my Jon boat. I lost my enthusiasm. Call me a fair weather sailor.

Tom, yesterday from Three cedars back north, boxed 30, 6-8 ft anything with red or pink, rough to say the least for any boat.

Same for me on the north end of the lake. I'll fish in the rain but I just don't do the wind when it gets over 15. Don't like hiding from the wind to fish.
