I did hear that there was a diff in the transducer style in the 2 units the 597ci hd di and 859 ci hd di. Do not know if it is just the way it looks or the inside is diff. Does anyone have a pic of the transducer on a 859 di unit

Bean2302, you may be thinking about the optional trolling motor mounted XTM-9-WIDE-DI-20-T which is shaped to fit on a trolling motor. This will work with the larger DI model units like the 859ci HD DI but not the smaller DI model units like the 597ci HD DI.
