If you know your lake and know where a sandy flat is located? Do you know that your heads all weight pretty close to the same? I make a med. cast out start your troll at .8 mph ease into the sandy flat watching your depth finder and see when you start bumping the bottom. write it down or make a mental note, That is the depth your jigs are running. I pour my own jigs and have weight them with a bullet grain scales. I know with in 3000th of a grain what mine weight. You would be very surprised that what the package says...really is not what they say they are. my 1/16 at .8 run about 9'.5 1/24 run around 5'.5 my 1/32 around 3'. bumping your speed up to 1.0 or 1.1 will really make a difference. also what type of line...this is important too. is it the same line on all your reels? 6lb test?
