what are you supposed to do to the gas if you don't have any choice but to run it?

One of the great debates.....with plenty of opinions and research for different products. I don't really have an opinion (I've been told it's worthless! ), but you should know that Ethanol is a form of alcohol and alcohol attracts water. Ethanol also seems to attack some of the rubber used in fuel lines. Some of the products being used to prevent damage are: Sta-Bil, Star Tron, Sea Foam, and Amsoil is supposed to have a very good product (I'm going to try some of that soon). You should do some research on your own and use at least one of these products

I also use the blue marine stabil for regular fuel. Hopefully Kaz will chime in on this since he is in the boating industry and will have more knowledge on it.

Most of the "big name" stations will have ethanol free premium. I use the Stabil regardless.
The fishing was so good I thought it was yesterday

^^First I would like to say I agree with everything in this post^^
I like Seafoam, just my personal preference. I run it in pretty much everything. Some say they (fuel additives)are nouthing but Snake oil ! I dont know but it makes me feel better so I guess thats all that matter's.
I do feel with the problems related to e10 fuel in a very humid environment it is worth the effort to try and a void it. And with all ethanol free fuel being a higher octane its something most engines can perform better on and get better milage.

I will go out of my way to use ethanol free but that being said most of my buddies just use regular.
with the cost of repairs and or replacing 200hp I just don't want a chance of something I would regret doing to possibly lengthen the life of my motor.

I run the ethanol free premium, but still put sta-bil in every drop. Also since my motor is older I put new fuel lines in that are supposed to be ethanol "resistant." Don't know if you have to worry about that on newer motors.
