That is good to know .I made some about like that the only difference is I used a 4"x6"x6" block of wood for the center. It won't last as long as the PVC centers you have but they are cheaper to make them. Thanks for sharing and giving a good fish Habitat working report. I have not fish mine yet, saving them for hard times and when fish won't bite good this summer. I will try to give a report also when I fish my habitat.
Be safe and good luck fishing

Very nice. I set out three of these and have had crappie on all three! You will do well. Thanks for sharing!

BTW my porcupine balls cost me about $40 for three balls then I bought the PVC which came to about $10 per ball for a total of about $25 each. Worth it as no one can see them on sonar. Only my brick that weights them down is showing.

And possibly `ironically` the fish hanging in and just off of them...there are no `stealthy` fish !

Do the same thing with large plastic coffee containers. Cut holes, insert PVC then fill with cement.

I ain't into spending money!!! BUT the great advantage is ...cut all pieces bundle up fits in any boat(out of sight)...assemble on site with Quick set Glue or none , attach weight and sink...Ya don't feel Like the (Beverly Hillbillys) going down HY or water and everyone asking where you gona put them.. Scrats way ain't bad but I figger with time they will break up...Crack into piece wood swelling etc.. but there's gota be a wood that will work...maybe Cyprus/Osage Orange etc..Just haven't found any hunks..
