It just wouldn't feel right to have perfect weather!! Looking forward to seeing some of those big Russell slabs.

Anyone familiar with our crappiefests knows we've fished through pouring rain, gale force winds, and early season cold fronts....but we've always had a great time. So welcome to 2015 and bring your overcoats! It'll be in the 30's when we start, as I'm sure everyone is aware of by now. It looks to be around 50 for the weigh in and meal, so the weather, while it isn't sunny and 75 like we'd hoped, shouldn't be too much of a factor. Reports have come in all week of great catches of big crappie all over Russell, either by longlining or casting jigs to the bank. On Wednesday, several reports of 30 fish limits came through the grapevine from each of the major creeks in the lake, so I am expecting a fun and productive Saturday! And I can't wait! See you there!![]()

I probably won't be able to sleep tonight. Love going to new waters! Feel like I'm 10 again on the 24th of December! Can't wait to meet everyone.

Fishing is like pizza.......Even when it's not that good, it's still pretty good!
