Dbone is still high and muddy. The Ouachita river is Jacked up and the Bon Idee is high and MUDDY. PP is the best choice for good water.

My wife's uncle did the same today, caught three just right away then never got another bite.

New here to the forum but want to point out that when you post pics about catching a bunch of big fish, this is what happens. Most the locals just catch the fish and keep quiet. 3 lb fish are not uncommon at all on the point and the records could have been broken several times a year but not every one wants/needs their name on a plaque or in the books.

I agree with you on this. If I was to catch the World Record I would get a picture of the weight and fish and release it back to the waters.
I fish 7 days a week; some days for fish, everyday for men.

    Welcome PM,

    But we like pictures.

IMO It happen before the internet. More folks fishing. More time to fish. Boats, motors , and trucks are better built for the long hauls to places like PP.

Your right about fishing records. I can make two fish trips for what it cost to inter a record fish.

I agree about the records , probably would take a. 3 1/2 just to make the top ten if people would enter . It's a competitor thing with my friends. No different from any other sport .. But my post has nothing to do with the crowds .. It's the nice weather, the poor fishing else where... And every year folks have been posting the 3 lbers they catch . I only pointed out that one day there's no one and the next it's crazy .. This is not new, every year a million people show up here .. It's a magical place with big fish .. Been like this way before I fished it..
