Default SD CARD SIZE FOR WAYPOINT DOWNLOAD

OK, this is my first post on Crappie.com (and my first dumb question).
What size/capacity of SD card do I need to download waypoints/tracks from my Humminbird 788ci?
    Thanks.

Welcome to the site! I would say that a 2-4 GB SD card would be plenty for waypoints. If you go to the owner's manual for that unit, it should tell you

File size is minimal unless you have 1000's, even then a 2-4gb would get the job done. Welcome to the site!

2gB SD Cards are getting harder to find nowadays ...

While waypoints are not data hog file sizes ... It doesn't hurt to put waypoints on larger cards in SDHC ...

Meaning ....Screen shots and recordings benefit from Fast write speeds cards ...which can be found in the SDHC cards ...

Find a sale on Sandisk Extreme III 30 or 45mbps write speed cards and buy a bunch of em ...

These will effectively do most any task in electronic features ...
