    Default Sardis 3/23

It's still muddy!! We managed a few keepers. I forgot to snap a picture. The water temp climbed from 58 when we got there to 64 when we left. Saw a few people picking them up spider rigging in the open spots between trees around Piney Point but we were single poling.
Everyday spent outdoors with good company is worth the time and effort it takes to make it happen. Take a friend fishing!

Default First trip to Sardis... Help

Me and a buddy will be heading to Sardis lake for the first time Friday March 27.
Do you guys have any tips to help us catch some slabs?
    Weight of jig heads?
    Color of jigs?
    Live bait?

Not going to be good. I would cancel. Going to be mid 30's Friday morning high in the mid 50's then mid 30's that night. They will shut down on eating. If you must go I would use live bait and go deep.

I agree. Wait another week. Still plenty of time.

    I don't have a choice. It's a scheduled vacation.
