I just had to take the day off. The weather is just too pretty to go to work. I have the boat hooked up and I am headed to pick up a retired fishing buddy in the morning. Hope he is able to go fishing, he has had a lot of health issues the last 2 years or so since a fall. He likes to bass fish so I may not get to try for any crappie...I want him to have a good time. He has been a mentor when it comes to fishing over the years. I will be sure and post how we do. Flintcreek

Maybe yall will find some good fish. A couple of guys I work with have been smoking 4-6# green fish around decatur area. Say they are sitting in 15FOW on river channel waiting to move into the flats.

Please shoot us a report this afternoon if you do anything. There should be some on the shallow stumps in Flint.

Well my buddy was not feeling well this morning so I ended up going to Flint Creek off Hwy 31 south of Decatur which is a lot closer to home. I had a dead starting battery which I had charged last night and showed fully charged when I pulled it off the charger. So I started out swapping the motor over to the trolling motor. Did not do any good...fished jigs only since I did not have any minnows. I struck out but I did see a guy up from me and talk to him he was fishing tree tops at about 2' deep with minnows and had 7 when he left.

    Tight Lines.
