That's what I like to call him. Here I am, pulling cranks, thinking the fish all went deep since the water has gotten so warm, and what happens, nothing.

Then all the sudden I get a phone call. The bat signal is shining bright in the sky! They are still in the pads. Yeah baby, it's still on!

But, before we go there, lookie what I found. I found where the railroad ended! This goes out about 50 yards into the water. Who runs railroad tracks into the water! I thought it was so cool. Actually held some fish too. I'll have to go back and one pole it. I pulled some cranks over the top of it and got squat!

Anyway, back in the bat cave. Shu is having a field day. I join him and see what he's talking about. Or should I say, feel the tug of what he's talking about.

OK, truth be told, 95% of them were just babies. But look at them, cute as a button. This lake is gonna be great in a year or two, I'm telling you. There are tons of these fish out there. Most are bigger than this though, doh. But all these 10" and under fish being put back in to grow is the best thing Florida Fish and Wildlife could have ever done. Now when some of these get to be 10" +, change the limit to 11 inches, and we'd have one heck of a fishery here.

We caught a mess, but less than a handful could even possibly make it into a live well. The point is, we had a great time. Great fishing next to you Shu. I'll be looking for the bat signal a little more closely next time. Can't always have you out fishing me! lol

Only brought 4 fish home to clean but that's enough to fry and had a great time 'single poling' with a jig/minnow. Another enjoyable day on the water and when i got to the ramp met Quick on his way to the shellcrackers. Quick it was nice meeting you and i hope you found a pile of them. Looks like the 'Fishers of Men' bassers are going to own the lake for the rest of the week. Good luck --shu

Those fish even got some nice blue/green color to them !!
The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

    Went to Griffin Thurs morning.
Fished the pads, got three crappie, each 8 inches long, one blue gill, and one large big mouth green carp that measured about 6 inches, he tormented me by taking my cork under and not swallowing the minnow, finally out smarted him. Left when it started to sprinkle, ended up not a significant amount of moisture.

You din't see the "X" Shu marked on the water where the bigun's were. He keeps them in a mesh cage! lol, j/k

Yeah, I guess you have to weed through 25 small ones to find one big one right now. Like I said though, small ones now mean big ones later. yeah baby!
