IS ON !!
Holmes Bend Marina
April 25th, 2015
Fish Fry will be held at the COE Pavilion (picnic shelter) at the top parking lot.
Crappie.com & the event officials are not responsible for any legal problems you may encounter (such as, but not limited to ... no license, possession of too many fish or sub-legal sized fish, accidents/injuries, etc)
All legal sized fish caught, that you want to contribute to the fish fry, should be brought in for cleaning by 1PM CDT (note: Holmes Bend is on CDT, but the lake is split by time zones around the Butler Creek area, so the Northern end of the lake above Butler Creek is on EDT )
Legal Creel Limit is 30 fish/person/day .... and fish must be 9" or longer (and I suggest you make a personal size limit of at least 9.5" )
We will have a thread for members to volunteer to bring food & preparation items, or donate items to be given away in the door prizes drawing.
There must be at least ONE Crappie.com member in each participating boat. This is a closed event & is not for the general public.
So start making your plans to attend !!

Yeah ... we'll get into all the "I'll bring this" or "what do you want me to bring" stuff in another thread.
This is just an announcement thread to get the word out and give people time to make plans to attend.
And also to allow for any questions to be answered by those that may have never attended one of these events.

Sure would like to stop thru on my way home from KY lake. How many hours to get there from Aurora?
Mapquest says about 3.5hrs, Ken. Then I-75 is about 1.5hrs due East from there, to put you on your way North to PA. (about an 8hr trip from Holmes Bend Marina to Sharon, Pa) If you wanted to overnight at Holmes Bend ... you could rent a Kamper Kabin for $65/night : Holmesbend Resort and Marina

is this for your club members or can any member of the site come? being a newbie sounds like a good way to meet everyone,
Any crappie.com site member is more than welcome to attend, and encourage you to do so. yep, you'll for sure meet some "characters"........
