Default Not a Bad Day here in the East

Well after culling through about 25 Crappie I kept 11. Manage to get a decent Stripper and one JOLLY WHOPPER of a catfish....that is For a 12 ft Crappie Rod with 8lb test and a #2 wire hook! My biggest so far with a crappie rod weighing in at 13.09lbs!

good looking cooler of fish! have lurked on here for a while now just reading. saw this post and figured I would join in on the action! I was tightlining for crappie about 3 weekends ago in about 20', came across a 25' deep channel and there were a bunch of fish on the graph. Decided to open the bail on one rod and see if the deeper fish were interested. Closed the bail, cranked twiced to get it up off the bottom and in those few seconds I was already hung up on a log or something. tugged on the line trying to get loose and the log started swimming. Long story short, I got this 25lbs flathead in the boat on a 10' Pinnacle Limit tightline rod and 8# test lol. It made for an interesting morning!Name: catfish.jpg
