I was headed back to Sinclair yesterday with my son and another friend that he wanted to take....we left Griffin at 6am ....and as we were going thru Jackson I stopped to get the boys a biscuit....pulling out of Mcdonalds I heard a "bang" back on the trailer and could see the second tire on the drivers side(tandem axle trailer) hanging out ....pulled in to a gas station and took the lugs off the tire to find the axle had sheared off right at the hub
slowly drove it home on the remaining 3 tires and got it over to a friends shop, went ahead and removed both axles and all the leaf springs and all the hardware,,,,,
contacted Sturdy Built Trailers and got everything ordered, new axles, springs shackles, bolts, bushings & hubs....
Sturdy Built was great to work with, and had great prices....everything was 725.00 with free shipping, which isnt bad since I upgraded most parts to Stainless steel and Galvanized because I use my boat a lot in saltwater...plus the shipping will be fast, everything should be here Wednesday.....
A CRAPPY DAY....but the issue will be resolved soon !!!!!
Bummer.
Slayer will make your day better. A few weeks back passed a Triton sitting on the dirt with the trailer 20 feet in front of boat. Trailer came loose from truck now I triple check mine.
Dang it man. Hate to hear that
Thats a tough break.
For the Everlasting Glory of the Infantry.
That is a bummer but it is a Blessing where it happened. If you had been going down the highway at 60 to 70 MPH it could have been very bad. Ya'll are safe and that is the important thing. Wes
