Default Awesome trip to Oconee 3-20

We had a awesome trip to Oconee today...boated 40 slabs and met some fellow Crappie.com members. It was nice to meet you Jody and Countrytime. After to today I will be regular at Oconee, heading back Wendsday and Thursday before I leave for Eufaula.

Dutch were you in Sugar Creek? If so I am sure I saw you but did not realize it was you. I was in a brown and black G3 with Kissimmee Kowboy, two old guys stumbling around. It was a great day.

Good job Dutch! I chose last Tues. to go and had to deal with all the wind with a T-top, epoxy on my rod holders broke loose(old J-B weld I guess, just crumbled) and to top it off, was up above Swords and found out in all that timber the Navionics Gold bundle that came with my Raymarine Dragonfly does not support Oconee! Had no idea as just bought the boat last May and it's first trip to Oconee... To say the least, it wasn't a very fun day by myself!!! Only caught little 6" white bass. Now the Slabs Gods owe me! lol
BTW, what brand poles are you using? Grip reminds me of my surf rods I have.

What creek do all these reports come from? I usually bass fish the lower end but would like to try to catch some crappie when they get on shallow trees/docks to spawn.

Uncle Bucks Deluxe Crappie Poles from BPS...good poles for long-lining and in 10 years of fishing with them I have yet to break one. I have caught everything from slabs to big stripers and catfish on these rods and they whup them all. And they don't break the bank either.
