Any reports on the lake condition? Im going to be there Friday thru Tuesday - another question is when the wind kicks up where do you guys fish? Normally we just got off the lake when it got windy, mostly during the middle of the day then back on it late afternoon.

    Thx

I'll be there next Monday... Looking forward to it. Back to the earlier question raised a few posts back - I'm also interested in the answer: where do you go when the wind is too much this time of year?

I plan to fish in the lower basin for white crappie. But if that doesn't work, would the black crappie be biting yet? I think I heard Starve Pond mentioned for black crappie this time of year. But I'm staying at Cypress Point and that looks like a mighty long haul with an 8hp.

Fished Friday through sunday. Didn't slay them but caught between 15 to 20 GOOD ones all three days. Most importantly I through back 20 to 30 everyday which is very important and something that I didn't see any of last year. Nice to see some small fish which tells me they actually had a decent spawn last year. Fished deep Friday and Saturday and found fish about 12 to 14 ft of water and Sunday found some a lot of fish in the 7 ft range. Hopefully things continue to improve.

I fished Monday afternoon with not much luck Started out jigging some trees never got a bite then went to trolling the shallows without a bite finally caught four in twelve feet of water four feet down on minnows and all fish were around a pound to a pound and a quarter. Talked to a couple guys today one was jigging trees and the other trolling deep water and only two fish were caught trolling... The fishing report for the foot is they are biting guess its hit or miss and with a cold front coming for the weekend who knows. Hope you can get on em and have a good time!!
