    A guy here n dothan Alabama builds some. They swivel with the seat but mount under the seat. Boyds marine sells them here. I have two the work great. The one that bolt to the back of the seat rip out with time and mess up the seat back

    That's what I was thinking, jhef .... that and a longsleeve UV Sun Shirt and some UV Sun Gloves, and he should be good to go ... no "mount" or "brella" necessary. And if he can't find a sombrero, or would just rather wear his "lucky fishing ball cap" ... then a UV Sunmask Faceguard or neck gaiter (& look like a ninja) or even one of those UV neck protector shades or hats (& look like Lawrence of Arabia).

    Personally .... I wear the long sleeve sun shirt, sun gloves, and a neck shade thingy that has an elastic band & fits right over/around my Crappie.com ball cap (total Lawrence of Arabia look )
