Default Night stalkers, question for ya.

Got a dumb question! I haven't fished at night in years, and with spotty success when I did. My sons using my boat, I'm recovering from shoulder surgery, he's wanting to do a night trip. I have no concerns about him (21 years old) in a area that historically should be holding fish now. Would you folks send him to individual brush, whichever I have marked in GPS, or at the mouth of the creek, set him up at a bridge? Bridge is within 1/2 mile of the shallow brushy area? Want to see him succeed, but I'm split on the two.

I probably will be overruled but I dont setup on brush. Or bridges. I look for changes in bottom , like a sudden drop or creek channel. About 25 to 35 fow is my choice. Now saying that let the pro's jump in and send you on the right path. All lake's are different but I look more for bait than cover. Good Luck ! By the way what lake ya fishin ?

Unfortunately, I'm not. Shoulder has me on the bench at least another week or two. Looking at Hartwell.

On some lakes brush works great some lakes brush is not the place. I avoid bridges, no question. A steep drop-off is hard to beat.

Not a pro but on a ledge that's holding bait and set up and sit tight don't move. Try marking some bait or fish prior to set up. Good luck, do it on a dark night.
