Oh boy, I am so relieved after reading the entire post. When I read the title, I thought you had tickets to another KISS concert! lol But believe me I understand about how complicated the newer locators can be for some of us geezers, me included.

I've had several inquiries, even from out of state, and the asking price is fair. If anyone is interested PM me. I've also had numerous people ask me why I'm selling it. I just spend too much time playing with electronics and not enough fishing. Also, I currently have a great Elite 7 with DI on the front of my boat but have opted to use the built in transducer so I loose the DI function. I haven't decided yet but think I may move the Elite to the console and get another Elite (2D only) for the front.

When I first got a boat that had a fish finder, I kept seeing fish symbols on it, but could not catch one! Had been catching almost every time before I got it. Called my brother who had a fancy Ranger boat and fished a lot of tourn. and asked him what the problem was. He said those were Japanese fish. Quit watching it so close and went back to catching fish.

Hey Floyd it wouldn't make since to move the Elite 7 to the back and then mount another one up front. I would just purchase another one for the back and leave the front one in place. I would get the Elite 7 without the transducer since it sounds like you have a transducer not being used since you are using the built in transducer. There is no designated Elite 7 2D unit. The only difference with the units are different transducers making them 2D or 2D and DI, GPS/non-GPS and navigation software bundles.
