A good fishing trip for Deb and myself early Thursday afternoon. We got lucky and stumbled up on the right spot. We found a big school of crappie who loved the Bobby Garland Bluegrass Baby Shad we were using. They were very shallow in 2-5 feet of water. A lot of fish with most being keepers. The bad luck was that I lost one of the larger crappie I've ever had on my line before...right at the net. Needless to say I haven't stopped thinking or talking about it. I should be over it a few years from now.

Had a good 2 1/2 hr trip Wednesday afternoon, but our fish were still deep. Tooled around in 6 to 25 fow and saw nothing going on. I think we had 15 between us before the wind made it not fun anymore. All good fish with no throwbacks, though we released them all. They all looked like they were smuggling tennis balls.
Sorry about your lost fish, but I do know your pain. From several occasions. Glad you got out and had some fun.
